Strolling through the historic streets, we’ll admire the architectural wonders and the work of around 5,000 artisans behind these structures. A rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk’s lively markets is a must, and we’ll end our day at the serene Sis Ganj Sahib Gurdwara, a significant Sikh temple. Experience the rich history and culture of Old Delhi with us.
In the afternoons, we will make our way to Lutyen’s Delhi, passing by iconic landmarks such as India Gate, constructed in 1931 as a tribute to the Indian soldiers who valiantly served in World War I and the Afghan Wars. Our journey will also take us past the stately Presidential House, the official residence of the President of India, which was formerly known as the Viceroy’s House during the British colonial era.
As lunchtime approaches, we’ll sample authentic Indian cuisine and then visit the historic five-story Qutab Minar, constructed in 1193 by Qutab-ud-din-Aibak. Day 04 / Thursday: Agra sightseeing
Our day begins with a mesmerizing visit to the Taj Mahal, a true masterpiece that comes alive in the golden rays of the early morning sun. Please note that the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays. To catch the stunning sunrise view, we’ll arrive at least 30 minutes before sunrise, as the entry gate opens then and can get crowded during the morning hours. It’s important to mention that, except for your passport and camera, nothing is allowed inside, not even water, so be mindful not to carry any prohibited items. The parking area is approximately one kilometer from the monument, and from there, you can choose to walk, take a Tanga ride, or hop on a Battery bus. The Taj Mahal complex is vast, so expect to spend around two hours exploring its beauty. Upon our return to the hotel, we can savor a well-deserved breakfast. Note : (In December and January, thick fog can obscure the sunrise view).
Following breakfast, our next destination is the Agra Fort, an impressive 11th-century walled city and one of India’s most grand forts. Given Agra’s historical significance as the Mughal capital, the fort predominantly reflects Mughal architectural influences. Various Mughal emperors ruled from this fort, leaving their distinct marks on its design and decor. It’s worth noting that around 75% of the fort is off-limits to tourists due to its military use, and even the accessible portion is extensive, so be prepared for some substantial walks, including ascents.
During the evening, we’ll return to the Agra Fort for a must-see “Light and Sound Show” that beautifully narrates the love story of Shahjahan and his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The presentation is so compelling that it keeps the audience completely captivated, as they hang on every word and scene.

Day 05 / Friday: Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Bharatpur – Abhaneri – Jaipur (250 km / 5 Hrs.)
Day 5 is a packed itinerary with three en-route sightseeing stops, so we’ll kick off the day with an early breakfast to make the most of it. Our first destination is Fatehpur Sikri, approximately 40 km from Agra, though the journey can take over an hour due to congested roads. Be mindful of persistent hawkers trying to sell their wares or divert you to their shops, and simply stick with your tour guide. This fort was commissioned by Emperor Akbar under the guidance of Sufi Saint Salim Chisti and served as the capital for a time. However, it was eventually relocated back to Agra due to water scarcity in Fatehpur Sikri. Our next stop is Bharatpur, known for its outstanding bird sanctuary, the UNESCO-listed Keoladeo Ghana National Park, located roughly 25 km from Fatehpur Sikri. Here, you’ll have the option to explore the park by bicycle, human-pulled rickshaw, or Tanga, according to your preference. Local naturalists will be available to lead you along the park’s narrow jungle paths and provide insights about the diverse birdlife.
Lunch can be enjoyed at a midway restaurant, offering authentic Indian cuisine, although not of particularly high standards. Following that, we’ll head to Abhaneri, a village along the way to Jaipur, celebrated for its 9th-century step wells, known as Chand Baori, and the Harshad Mata temple. We’ll strive to reach our destination before sunset, allowing for a brief 20-25 minute visit. Then, we’ll continue our journey to Jaipur.
Overnight stay – Hotel
Day 06 / Saturday: Jaipur sightseeing
The Jaipur city tour promises a full day of exploration, commencing with a visit to Amber Fort, where you’ll have the unique opportunity to enjoy an Elephant ride. Amber Fort, a must-see attraction in Jaipur, perches atop a hill and was constructed by Raja Man Singh in 1592, showcasing exquisite Hindu architecture and renowned for its iconic Elephant Rides. The fort provides plenty of picturesque moments for photography enthusiasts, featuring grand gates, cobblestone paths, fortified walls, enchanting temples, and intricate paintings. Inside the fort, you’ll discover significant structures like ‘Diwan-e-Khas,’ ‘Diwan-e-Aam,’ the Sheesh Mahal, SukhNiwas, and Jai Mandir. Amber Fort echoes with the nostalgic heritage of the Rajput Maharajas who once resided here, making it a remarkable historical experience.
After lunch, we’ll explore one of the local markets, such as Johari Bazaar, Tripola Market, or Bapu Bazaar, where you can immerse yourself in the vibrant shopping scene. Our tour concludes with a visit to Birla Mandir, an exquisite temple also known as the Laxmi Narayan Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Crafted from pristine white marble, the temple features intricate paintings depicting mythological stories from India. In the evening, we’ll return to the hotel, freshen up, and savor a delightful dinner accompanied by a live Rajasthani dance performance (subject to operational availability).
